Grief persists after the loss of a close friend, but so does love. In time, grief recedes and love predominates. Here is a haiku for my sweetheart: Still Sali. I see that ‘still’ has both meanings: continuing and stillness.
Still Sali Haiku
(You are still in my heart)
The love is still there
Our souls are still connected
But I still miss you

“Still” is the best word in it – signifying continuum. Beautiful poem and testimony of an ever lasting connection.
